Brief description of the organisation:

CICbiomaGUNE (CICBIO)  Brief description of the organization:  The Centre for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials (CIC biomaGUNE) is a non-profit research organization created to promote scientific research and technological innovation related to biomaterials at the highest levels in the Basque Country. It is part of the CIC Network, a network of several young centres in the Basque Country for research in strategic fields. The institute hosts state-of-the-art equipment that is very well adapted to the requirements of the project. This includes the following Technological Platforms: OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY;  NMR; ELECTRON MICROSCOPY;  MASS SPECTROMETRY; SURFACE ANALYSIS AND FABRICATION. The institute also has a Molecular Imaging Facility which includes: RADIOCHEMISTRY; MRI; NUCLEAR IMAGING; IMAGE ANALYTIC and  ANIMAL FACILITIES.  Main task in the project: Synthesis and characterization of metal nanoparticles in nanoporous hosts; Evaluation of the performance of encapsulated nanorods as SERS enhancers ; Evaluation of catalytic activity of encapsulated metal nanoparticles
